Recovery, towing and roadside assistance
How quickly can you get to me?
The phone is answered straight away, day or night. How long the truck takes depends entirely on where you are and what is already on the road, so we will not quote you a number here that we might not keep. What we will do is give you an honest ETA on that call rather than an optimistic one, and text you when the driver is actually moving.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. A person answers the phone at three in the morning on a bank holiday. Nights, weekends and Christmas are all covered. Out-of-hours work does carry a higher rate, and we tell you what that is before you commit to anything.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the distance, the time of day and how the vehicle has to be moved - so we quote it on the phone rather than guessing here. You get one fixed, all-in figure before we leave, not a callout fee with extras added when we arrive. If an operator will not give you a number on the call, that is the moment to keep ringing around.
What do I need to tell you when I call?
Where you are (a location pin from your phone is perfect), what you drive, and what the car is doing. Whether it rolls and steers, whether it is automatic or all-wheel drive, and whether you are in a car park with a height restriction. Getting those right on the first call means we arrive with the right kit for the job.
Do you take card payments?
Yes - card, cash or bank transfer, paid on completion. Trade customers and garages can run a monthly account. We issue a proper invoice on every job, which matters if you are claiming it back from an insurer or your employer.
Are you insured?
Fully. Public liability and goods-in-transit cover on every vehicle, so your car is insured while it is on our bed. Ask any recovery operator for their cover before they load your car - if they hesitate, do not let them touch it.
Can you tow an automatic or a four-wheel-drive car?
Yes, and both of them go on a full flatbed with all four wheels off the ground. Towing an automatic or an AWD car with driven wheels turning can wreck the transmission or the transfer case. Anyone offering to do it on a rope or a suspended tow is risking your gearbox to save themselves time.
Can you recover an electric or hybrid vehicle?
Yes. EVs and hybrids travel on a flatbed only - that is what every manufacturer specifies, because towing on the wheels can spin the motor and feed current back into the system. We are set up for it and we do it regularly.
My car is in an underground car park. Can you get it out?
Usually, yes. Tell us the height restriction at the entrance when you call. If the truck cannot get down the ramp, we bring a low-clearance dolly, pull the vehicle up to street level and load it there.
Will my insurance pay for the recovery?
Often it will, particularly after an accident or if you have breakdown cover added to your policy. We give you an itemised invoice and, on accident jobs, a written recovery docket with times and photographs - which is exactly what the insurer will ask you for.
Do you cover outside Dublin?
Yes - the whole island, all 32 counties. Meath and Kildare are part of our daily emergency patch and we work every motorway on it. Vehicle transport, auction collection and dealer runs go anywhere north or south, booked in advance and quoted per kilometre.
What should I do while I wait?
On a normal road: hazards on, stay in the car with your seatbelt on if traffic is passing close, or stand well back on the verge. On a motorway or dual carriageway: everyone out on the passenger side and behind the barrier, never in front of or behind the car, and never attempt a wheel change on a hard shoulder. If the car is in a live lane, call 999.

We would rather answer a question for free than have you guess at the roadside.
